Yes They Did

My congratulations to my Stateside readers on an absolutely incredible election process. It's been amazing to watch history transpire from the sidelines.

Pierre Trudeau, one of Canada's most charismatic leaders [who is both revered and reviled for his own version of the change agenda] once likened being close to the United States as being close to an elephant. However friendly the beast may be, one is still affected, for better or for worse, by every move and twitch.

From Obama's optimism and grace, to McCain's nobility and dedication [note: that concession speech last night is the benchmark as far as I'm concerned, the ultimate example of class] this election is one I feel priviledged to have been alive to witness.
