Friends, Romans: Poetic Interludes

From the blog that brought you such exclusive series as True Confessions, Dateline: Friends, Romans, and Great Moments in Bargain History, comes a new and exciting iterative odyssey.

Friends, Romans is proud to present: Poetic Interludes

ODE TO A JELLYFISH

How beautiful you are, oh pearlescent blob
As you bounce through the sea, as you winnow and bob,
I envy your skin
smooth as porcelain
How do you manage
To avoid UV damage?

Some of you are chubby
Some of you are sleek
Some of you just hang out
And sting kids at the beach

Then you flow like a sari,
You ain't no calamari
Takin' off like a trucker
You say "Hell no mothahf#$ker!"

And then off you go to the watery depths
Safe in the deep, your secrets well kept.
All shimmery and floaty, you shall never droop
You swim off, through the water
BA-LOOP! BA-LOOP! BA-LOOP!
