My oldest cat Shuggy died today from kidney failure. I was there at the end and able to transition him out of this life and end his suffering humanely at the vet clinic of which he was a favourite client. He was wonderful.
I'll write here at some point in the future. I'm taking a day of work tomorrow to retreat a bit. I've had a lot of loss to contend with lately, and I need to ride out the numbness I feel.
